The network above represents asylum applications in European countries in 2014 from the 20 main sources of asylum requests (source: Eurostat). The thickness of links represents the number of applications (only those above 1000 are represented to make the graph more readable) and the size of the nodes is proportional to the number of requests sent/received. In order to make the graph more readable. Unsurprisingly, the largest sender is Syria and the largest receiver is Germany, with Sweden and Erythrea second place. There are interesting links between certain countries, for instance between Nigeria and Italy, or Kosovo and Hungary.

Very good graph. But don’t you think that it is a bit misleading: Greece having only a small circle node and Turkey is even not shown!
